...A brand new Admiral website
I would like to use this opportunity to unveil our new Admiral website. The new site is much easier to navigate, has more photos and reviews of our yachts, and much more importantly has a dedicated Admiral Owners section. If you like the site and have a website or a blog, please add us to your favourites or links.
South Africa gets an Election Boost
On the political front South Africa recently had its best-attended elections. The various parties staged a free and fair election with a large turnout of over 77%. The ANC were the nationwide winners with a strong but not outright majority. Helen Zille won the Western Cape Province for the DA party. Admiral would like to congratulate all those involved, and thank both parties for their ongoing support of Admiral and the South African boat building industry.
Customer Service a Top Priority
The big challenge for me over the past two years has been managing change, both in our factory and with our new models. The conversion has proven to be a lot more difficult than originally anticipated and has distracted from our usual way of operation. This year we have had time to reflect on the business and are aware that we need to focus more heavily on Customer Service.
Weathering the Recession Storm
The recession continues to impact globally on the boating market as it does in almost every other industry. Here at Admiral we’re weathering the storm well. There are definitely fewer buyers, but we have noticed a marked increase in enquires. There are also fewer competitors as a number boat yards are withdrawing from the industry.
Farewell to the our newest Family members
Admiral have just wished a fond farewell to Bruce and Curt, the latest clients to enjoy the Admiral Experience and head off on their new 40’ catamaran, the Punta Azul. Cape Town now will at least be a safer place without the pair ripping up the roads on their hired Harley Davidsons, but we thoroughly enjoyed their company, and are glad that they made the most of their Admiral Experience.
Visit us at the Durban Boat Show
We are exhibiting at the Durban International Boat Show between the 17th and 19th July. Come along, meet the team and spend some time aboard Time Out, the splendid Admiral 40' Catamaran in the Durban Marina.
